ＧＳＰ生（カナダ　ターム留学）残り１週間！

カナダでのターム留学も帰国まであと一週間となりました。生徒たちから報告が届いたので、ブログでその一部を共有させていただきます。

①Since I came here, I have learned the importance of continuing to study English words every day. I've grown to the point where I eat at least a little for dinner even if I'm not hungry. I've learned the troublesomeness and difficulty of housework. I have learned how rare water is because I can't soak in the bathtub and the water I drink isn't as delicious as it is in Japan.

②I can now act alone. I go to school by bus. There are many types of buses, and at first I would take the wrong bus almost every day, but as I continued to challenge myself every day despite repeated failures, I am now able to go far distances on my own without making mistakes.

③I try to say thank you many times because everyone explained things slowly so I could understand, taught me kindly, and talked to me in a friendly manner. During Canadian history class, we did pairwork. I couldn’t understand the content because it is completely different from the content of Japanese history. At that time, my friends told me about the content. So I could understand more than read by myself. I appreciated it very much and I was very happy.

④The first is to stay in the living room for a long time. Until now my host mother was always watching TV, so I didn't know when I could talk with my host mother. I had an awkward time one month ago. I tried to stay in the living room after school, so I became able to talk about a lot of things with my host family. I can get some topics of story by saying what I think. Now, I can talk about what I want.

⑤This diversity is something I could not have realized in my relationships with my Japanese friends, who speak the same Japanese and are educated to have the same morals and ethics.
This study abroad experience also gave me time to look at myself. My days were packed with a lot of stuffing, for better or for worse. However, time away from Japanese school life and spending time slowly abroad is a great opportunity to face my future life, my likes and dislikes, and my emotions!
