GSPターム留学報告②

留学先に到着してから約２週間が経過しました。生徒たちは少しずつ留学先での生活に慣れてきたようです。先週行われたオンラインミーティングではグループごとに情報共有を行いましたが、食べている物も休日の過ごし方も本当に様々であり、まさにＧＳＰの目標の１つ「自分の中に多様性を涵養する」の過程に生徒たちはいるのだと感じました。今後、どのように考え方が変わったか彼らから聞くのが楽しみです。以下、生徒による報告書の一部を掲載いたします。

①My host parents are very caring and kind to me even though I can’t speak English well.
My 3-year-old host sister was curious and ran around the ticket center when I went to buy a bus pass. My host mother was a little angry, but it was really cute to me. My 8-year-old host sister is always watching YouTube on TV and is very energetic. She calls me 'kuya', which means big brother in Tagalog.

②My host family likes exercise and often invites me to the gym or sports.
My uncle belongs to a soccer team, and I played soccer with him last Saturday.
It was a lot of fun. I was nervous at first. But the members of the soccer team treated me very kindly.

③My school started later than other schools so I haven’t been to school so many times but it’s exciting for me! In my school, I can study a lot of things that I can’t study in Japan. Also, I was surprised at many things. For example, in Japan, most students don’t speak in the class but here in Canada, many students explain their thoughts.
