21世紀型英語プレゼンテーション大会を開催！

7/29（日）、本校の２１世紀型教育推進部が主催する「２１世紀型中学生英語プレゼンテーションコンテスト２０１８」の本選が行われました。２１世紀グローバル社会の担い手となる青少年の「ＩＣＴを活用した英語によるプレゼンテーション力（思考力・創造力・表現力）」を伸ばす機会を提供すると同時に、英語学習に対する関心を高め、国際的視野をもつ１０年後のグローバル人材の育成に資することを目的としたものです。当日は見事に予選を通過した８名の中学生達が、独創性に富んだ素晴らしいプレゼンテーションを披露してくれました。

Today, we held Meiho’s first 21st Century Junior High English Presentation Contest and to everyone’s pleasant surprise, the young men and women who participated proved to be amazing speakers, even at their young age.

From the quality of the presentations, everyone could easily tell that all participants put a lot of effort into, and spent a good amount of time practicing for their presentations. The presenters’ personalities and hopes also showed as each one passionately spoke of their plan for creating positive social change. The judges, audience, and teachers in attendance were all greatly impressed and game away with great hope for the future of Japan and the world.

Meiho hopes that these amazing young adults will continue to be active in terms of such opportunities, and with each succeeding experience, grow in English ability and as a future leader.
